A James Halliday 5 star awarded winery, Bremerton Wines was established in 1988 by the Willson family. It is the first winery which is solely managed and run by a pair of Australian sisters - Rebecca and Lucy Willson. The winemaking process is headed by Rebecca while the latter, i.e., Lucy take care of brand’s marketing. Bremerton Wines sources fruit from its vineyard located in Langhorne Creek wine region of South Australia for producing excellent quality wines. Spreading over an area of 290 acres on the picturesque Langhorne Creek, the vineyard produces premium quality grapes of which 80% is used for wines produced under their own label while the remaining is purchased by other wineries. The viticulturists use environment sustainable methods and quality practices to attain high grade harvest. Along with Shiraz and Cab Sav that predominantly grow in the region, new varieties have also been introduced which include Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Sauvignon Blanc and Malbec. Not only the estate produces amazing wines but they also reflect the location which is nurtured by the Willson family’s continued commitment. The duo of sisters find themselves very passionate for wines and the region as well which over the years has earned a reputation in the industry especially for premium quality reds. They work hard to produce wines while employing improved methods that help preserve the environment as well for future generations of vignerons and winemakers. The Chief Winemaker, Rebecca Willson, ensures that all the wines produced under Bremerton Wines label meet the quality standards. Whilst sourcing the majority of fruit from own vineyard, they also get it from other vineyards as well in Langhorne Creek. The must from these grapes then is fermented in open top stainless steel tanks which is then matured in premium American and French oak.The resultant wines express a consistency and are generally full-flavoured, full-bodied, traditional and mouth filling and aimed to provide full-satisfaction to consumers. Over the years, the highly acclaimed winery has achieved various national and international awards and exports wines to all major markets of the world.
